Pre-Cruise Fears

The two biggest things I worry about right before I'm getting ready to go on a cruise are 1) losing my license and/or passport and 2) falling and breaking or spraining something.

I never carry my passport unless traveling so that is irrational but I am extra cautious with my license and debit cards a few days before I leave. I'm klutzy and have a huge yellow lab that likes to drag me on the leash if a rabbit appears

What do you worry about when single digit days approach?

I have a copy of all my travel documents in my carry on bag plus saved on my phone in a travel folder. That way I'm sure to not lose or forget them.

I really had that fear also, of forgetting the most important things/ documents specially if I misplaced it the day I will be on board. But since I have that fear, I always have a checklist in order to guide me for the things that I need to bring specially those important ones. I am very excited whenever I will be in a cruise travel that's why I always prepare everything ahead of time. Another thing also is because of too much excitement, there's one time that I got sick. Its a bad cough and I got runny nose as well. Its a flu actually. I had it 2 days before the date of my cruise travel but it turns out, I recovered already as the day of my travel comes. Thanks for the meds and enough sleep and rest. Big Smile

Weather affecting flights - we often get really foggy weather here in Feb and March and our airport can be closed for a couple of days. The airlines who fly in and out are great at trying to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible, but it's really up to Mother Nature.

Airline delays...

Same here. Also for my cruise next month I'm a lil' worried about what the Island Princess will be like since it's so heavily modified from her original condition. But just about all the current reviews are positive, I'm feeling positive, and so far for me - Princess Cruises has been a positive experience. So I'm positively certain that the cruise will be, well, positive!

LOL -True but he is strictly forbidden from posting any pictures of me anywhere ... ever ... of course a multi-million dollar law suit if the the airlines drags me out might be an exception.

I think he's trying to avoid the whooping you have threatened if you miss the ship. His pre-planning might include "this is Mom in stress mode"??????

The last week or so, I start worrying about any of us getting sick or injured. I make a Lysol zone at work, notifying everyone that if they enter the zone, they might get Lysol'ed.

Doing the usual 24 hour worry whirl ... my son wants me to wear a go pro helmet in case we have an altercation with the airlines lol ...

I worry about anything happening to may cause me to cancel.
