If you could work on a cruise ship, which job would you want to do?

I'd like to be the ice cream machine cone maker! Make soft swirl cones and dishes and samples in between. What would you like to do?

If I went with my "training" I'd be in the youth activities department. I wouldn't mind be the on board shop expert, meinkephotos suggestion for future cruise consultant, Glory's for shore tours, JustMe's as secret shopper and/or akaGrandmajo's scribe to JustMe. There used to be people that boarded that boarded the ship to teach a craft or two, I always thought that would be fun. I wonder if any of the cruise lines do that anymore?

Future Cruise Consultant

Bartender all the way!

Guest Services

Iceberg spotter. But only on the Caribbean itineraries

I want to be JusMe's scribe :) No sense in him having to use up his valuable cruise time writing a report Big Smile

Excursion desk would be my distant second choice.

I would pick to be either a Cruise Director so I could help organize some of the ship activities and get to mingle with all the passenger or head of the Shore Excursion Desk so I could go on all the Shore Excursions and help passengers decide which ones are best for them.

I'd choose Guest Services and try to help the guests enjoy their cruise instead of complaining about trivial matters. DH would definitely be a ship photographer.

If I worked on a cruise ship, I would work in the medical center. If hubby did, he would be in the accounting area.
