I don't think I will bring it anymore.

As it has been discussed many times on the forum about the formal night. We have seen casual dress taking over. I usually wear a suit like the one in my photo but I have decided I wont be bringing it with me anymore. Anything you wont be packing that you use to?

I still pack a tux. I weighed all our formal stuff, it wasn't that much. If I don't bring a tux then it is because the line did away with formal and we won't be booking them anyway.

Do agree with the flip flops though. Never had a problem with my knees or joints, but one time I had a pair of those on and almost did myself in. I go with the deck shoe suggestion nowadays.

On one Carnival 4 night cruise we had a rather eccentric old guy at our table, for formal night he wore a long sleeve dress shirt with very short running shorts a feather boa and a bandage on his head.......... it was enough to ruin your appetite.

When I cruise Carnival I do not bother with a a coat. If it is a 7 night I'll wear dockers, dress shirt and a tie, for a short cruise I wear nice jeans and a fancy long sleeve shirt. Its good enough for Carnival.

If I'm cruising in Europe I still pack a Tux and do the 007 look Wink

LOL Likely

I bet Carnival would still seat me.

Captain's table for you for sure! Happy

Next time I will wear deck shoes ( I despise flip flops) and wet shorts and a wife beater to formal night and see what happens. Surprised

I will still continue to pack a suit. I like to don it at least once per cruise. The suit tends to bring with it an atmosphere that you just do not get when wearing casual clothing.

No. I'm still a "just in case" packer.

I use to wear heel on formal nights only to kick them off under the table and then go back to our stateroom after dinner to get some flat sandals...now I just find really cute fancy flat sandals to wear with my dresses
