I don't think I will bring it anymore.

As it has been discussed many times on the forum about the formal night.  We have seen casual dress taking over.  I usually wear a suit like the one in my photo but I have decided I wont be bringing it with me anymore.  Anything you wont be packing that you use to?

I will still take a couple of suits just because I want to.

The rest of the cruisers may be casual, I will still wear a jacket and tie.

The DH didn't bring one on our last Carnival cruise, he was uncomfortable and plans bring one on the next one.  We used to go all out in tux and gown. Now he will take a sports coat and tie on Carnival. We will still dress to the nines on Princess.

Personally I bring dress pants, shirt and tie and that is far as it goes.  I really believe the formal dining is overrated anyways.  I never did understand the need to dress up all fancy just to spill something on myself, or at least that is what my wife says I always do  :)

I use to wear heel on formal nights only to kick them off under the table and then go back to our stateroom after dinner to get some flat sandals...now I just find really cute fancy flat sandals to wear with my dresses

No.  I'm still a "just in case" packer.

I will still continue to pack a suit. I like to don it at least once per cruise. The suit tends to bring with it an atmosphere that you just do not get when wearing casual clothing.

Next time I will wear deck shoes ( I despise flip flops) and wet shorts and a wife beater to formal night and see what happens. Surprised

I bet Carnival would still seat me.
