How do you save for a cruise?

So I have a few pins on pinterest (that's and understatement) on various topics, and some of them are saving money for vacation. For my cruise on the Allure this past April I did the 52 week saving plan (I doubled it of course to try and save close to 3K for the cruise), but I'm curious to know how other people tuck money away for their cruises, how long do you start, how much money are you able to save?

Right now my method is work 2 jobs, and i'm trying to sell off some clothes through thredup, and some apps that have money payouts as well... Bills eat up much of what I try and save....They are slow and are not for the impatient, but hopefully the long game pays out ($20 here, $10 there).

I tried that, but it doesn't work.

Since my DW also likes cruising (just doesn't like the cost) I tempt her with an expensive line to get her dreaming, and then "suddenly find" the same itinerary on a less expensive line.

It worked for my three upcoming cruises!

WOOT WOOT! Got room in your bag for me???

Workin it!

Woohoo! Congratulations Bubba! Thanks for the "helpful hint"! lol

HappySome people just don't have an ear for music.

Happy Cruising!

When I was in high school, for the Christmas program, we had a Tuba duet doing "Oh Come Ye, All Faithful".

I thought it sounded pretty good. Others compared it to an elephant's mating callSad

Maybe my husband could join in with his tuba and there could be a "duet"? Big Smile Hey, I'll shake a leg and dance. It may not be great, but then maybe they will pay me NOT to dance. lol

I put some money away each month. I very seldom go out to eat & turn the AC/heat down so it doesn't run while I am at work. I try to use coupons wherever I can or buy things on sale. All of those things add up.
