I started looking around to see what I could get with my Hilton, Choice or Marriott points. I noticed that a TON of hotels in the area are already sold out. Seriously? Is this common, or did we just pick a busy weekend?
We are looking at places in Plantation or Sunrise, but will the cab be too expensive? Anyone have experience with this area, or maybe there are other affordable locations (under $150 for the few hours we will be at the hotel) in nice hotels?

Thanks for your quick answer. Have you ever stayed far away from the port area? Both of these are around 15 miles from there. That's close in my mind, but I'm not the only one making the decisions....

We often sail in the January/February time frame and on occasion find hotels with few vacancies, but not usually this far out. I hope it’s a computer glitch (we have had that happen). I suggest you put them in order of preference and call the hotel directly. Please, let us know how it goes. We are scheduled to fly into FLL the end of February 2022.
