Has anyone gone on those cruises with celebrities? Cruise with Oprah, etc...

My 1st cruise back in 2007 was a3 day booze cruise to Ensenada and it also was a San Diego chargers fan appreciation cruise. We did not know that when we booked and got on the ship and wondered why everyone but us were wearing San Diego Chargers gear.

On the old Carnival Concert series if you paid extra for the VIP tickets you do get a 1 hour meet and greet with the performers, drinks, a photo and first 3 rows of the center of the theater. We did not do this for the Journey Concert but we did do it for Jay Leno concert so he could sign a Photo of out travel mates son and Leno in the middle east when her son was security detail for Jay Leno performing for the troops.

Very nice guy in person despite the staff saying no signatures when Leno saw the Photo he said "Anything for our boys in uniform"

Somehow paying more to go on a cruise just to see someone who didn't pay for the cruise, because they used to be famous, doesn't strike me as a bonus. We had a cruise booked and then some has been rock group set up a "special" cruise. Price increase was 2.5 times/. needless to say we had to cancel.

Now THATS outstanding, on several levels...what an experiencer that mustve been!

Queen Mary 2 with James Taylor. He did two live performances and held an hour long question & answer session. Great experience!
