Went to the key west butterfly conservatory. Loved it. The price is $12, but I heard there is a coupon if you buy one you get one free, so $6 per person. Do it you won’t regret it. Wear good walking shoes if you want to walk Duval Street.
2 ships were here. Sun and the Sky were anchored off the island. Found some good shells. Water is nice. There are rocks in the water. They have a zip line for you adventure seekers. I did stingrays city. I’m 5 foot 3 inches tall and the water went to my chest, I say that because I can’t see any kids doing this - the water is too deep. A lady told me that Carnival’s stingrays excursion is better because water only goes to your waist.
More for adults than kids. Deck 10 is under the pool.
This is the oldest ship in the carnival fleet. Built in 1993 it is old. You have to take that into consideration when looking to book. I book cruises for the itinerary, so I knew it was a very old, dated ship. I spent my time at the serenity adult only section on the sea day.
I always do a red eye flight and arrive in the early a.m. the day of embarkation. I know, I know, everyone tells me not to do that because of flight delays, but whatever. There is a Carnival cruise line desk down at baggage claim at Miami airport that you can check in at, I love it cause then you take bus to port and all you have to do is show passport and then walk right onto ship.
4th time here. I just walked around and down to Junkanoo beach, which has gotten a lot more rocks than my last time I was here. It is not my favorite beach. Cable beach is a better beach but you must take cab or bus or Uber to get there.
