Funniest comments overheard on cruise ships

Many of us have cruised for years and therefore collected quite a stash of funny cruise-related stories. But, even if you haven't taken many cruises, there is a good chance that you have overheard fellow passengers utter some real doozies (or maybe you were the utterer). Let's share a few chuckles... shall we?

On our second cruise we went out of NY just before Sandy hit it and squeezed between the hurricane and the coast. That first night all outside decks were closed and we were rocking well with a heavy tail wind and 30+ ft seas. The next afternoon in a meet and greet the Captain was present and he says, "As you might have noticed we had a wee bit of motion on the ship last night"

I love dry humour on the sea.

Lol,never knew that either :)

I never seem to have that problem!Crying

I love this one! I can't wait to share it!

Actually, it does make a difference. Salt water introduces bacteria to grow in the toilet, which will start to smell quickly. Fresh water does not introduce the bacteria.

I overheard a little lady with a bucketful of quarters in the casino ask "Can I take this money out of the casino?" (No, you have to put it all back into the machines first!)

On our first cruise, we joined the check-in line not knowing quite what to expect. The woman in front of us turned around and asked us to save her place. She needed to talk to a cruise line person because, "Those fools confiscated my knives."

My very favorites:

-What in the toilet salt water or fresh?

-And why do you need to know it?

I like the old: "What do they do with the ice sculptures after they melt?"

When my sister was working at Guest Services many years ago, a very angry woman came storming up to the counter and demanded that my sister find out where her husband slept the previous evening, and with whom because he hadn't come back to their room.
