Door slammers?

I love to book a balcony cabin. Its great to sit outside and relax certain times of day. I am aware that the door experiences a vacuum effect and will slam hard. So when I walk in or out of the balcony I control the door so it does NOT slam. All I hear is SLAM...SLAM..SLAM..SLAM...SLAM...SLAM all around me. Do people not know how obnoxious that is. KNOCK IT OFF PLEASE.

It is o0nly considerate to keep your door from slamming. I know that the entrance doors are heavy and sometimes hard to control. Thanks for the reminder.

why can't I get the gif' to just open up ?

We have been on ships with mostly sliding doors in recent years. We try not to leave the doors open since it screws up the air conditioning system. However, even if we don't we get a lot of slamming of our cabin door, as about the time I open the slider someone opens the cabin door and it gets away from them

Break into your neighbors room while the steward isn't looking? lol

I think I will just start packing some crazy glue.........that should fix it Big Smile

I've been known to leave post-it notes on neighboring cabin doors when slamming is a problem... just a nice "would you mind not letting your door slam shut... it shakes the walls of all your neighbors when that happens"... or something similar.

I'm with you on that too... 2 cruises with balconies, and I don't think I slam the door.. but I will be taking notes from here on out Big Smile

I always book balcony staterooms and I never noticed "slammers".....I certainly hope I'm not a "slammer"....I will probably notice when people slam their balcony doors now

BAN ALL SLAMMERS NOW!Angry

Umm, never had a balcony room. Never desired one. However, I cant deal with the people who slam the births up to the wall in the morning while we are still sleeping. ....leave then for the staff to do after most cruiser have left the whole deck.
