I've been reading a lot of reviews including ones on Costa and they aren't all negative. Lots of people enjoy sailing Costa. Frankly when I see a review that states "Don't Sail (insert a cruise line name)", I automatically think the cruise line is fine and it's the passenger that's messed up.

I've seen a review that stated not to sail Princess and another stating not to sail on the Ruby Princess. My favorite line and my favorite ship. Your review won't stop me from trying out Costa, have seen a lot of positive reviews that make me want to try them out.

But even as I type this I'm thinking the OP isn't around anymore. I challenge the OP to come back and respond to the comments that have been made so far.

From the information my sister has for her Feb Costa Cruise, the beverage packages include bottled water not regular tap water. She thinks it’s free.

Ok, I’m lazy. But is he saying they charge for a glass of regular water at dinner? I’m thinking bottled water, maybe?

Maybe, the OP just needed someplace to vent?!?

I asked my sister about the upcharge for water and coffee, and she said it clearly indicates this in the costa Costa cruise information when you book the cruise. She said there are various beverage packages that you can choose from, if you want to, which include water, sodas, coffee and alcohol. If you don’t buy one of the beverage packages, you pay for everything.

Not sure where to stand on this.... If I was up charged for water, basic foods and so on... I'd be rather upset myself. Unless on Costa lines website they specifically state all the up charges.

Well, the OP has made one post, perhaps the first in his/her entire life, or at least the first post he/her has made for a cruise, which might be the first cruise ever for him/her as well. All this to give us a heads up not to book the subject of his/her discontent, which is aimed at a particular cruise line----this mind you, in order to tell us all how miserable he/her/they are/is. No question he/her are unhappy, but attempting to gain some sort of happiness or achievement in making others equally unhappy on the pretense of giving everybody a warning, come on, I’m not buying into this, pretty sorry, dude. You are speaking here to many who have been around the block cruising wise for years, what you may dislike about this line is perhaps the same similar complaint(s) directed at other lines for years. Wish you the best in your agony.

I don't know what to say! I pray that you enjoy your cruise. Did you use a travel agent or did you book it on your own?

sure you do not mean ... Well, back in 2005 we sailed Royal Caribbean. The food was salty. The meat was tough. The stores were poorly stocked, so I think everyone should avoid Royal Caribbean AT ALL COSTA?

So, because you didn’t do your research, no one should cruise COSTA Cruise Lines ?

btw, what happened to my other post ? Oh wait, I think I know.
