Cell phones onboard

When you cruise, do you keep your cell phone with you while onboard, only in ports, leave it either turned off in the safe, or even leave it at home?

Everything thing Bonbon wrote above is exactly what I do.

My phone is with me all the time, but in airplane mode. On the last cruise, we had the Carnival Hub app which was great. We could see what was happening all over the ship without carrying even the tear off part of the daily FunTimes. It was handy to text friends to make arrangements to meet up, and I always use my phone for the camera. Even though I've never taken a photo of food, I do carry it with me to the MDR just in case I want to take a pic of something else. My ShipMate S&S holder on the back of my phone is my favourite gift I think and so handy to have my phone and card together all the time.
