Cell phones onboard

When you cruise, do you keep your cell phone with you while onboard, only in ports, leave it either turned off in the safe, or even leave it at home?

My phone is with me all the time, but in airplane mode. On the last cruise, we had the Carnival Hub app which was great. We could see what was happening all over the ship without carrying even the tear off part of the daily FunTimes. It was handy to text friends to make arrangements to meet up, and I always use my phone for the camera. Even though I've never taken a photo of food, I do carry it with me to the MDR just in case I want to take a pic of something else. My ShipMate S&S holder on the back of my phone is my favourite gift I think and so handy to have my phone and card together all the time.

Everything thing Bonbon wrote above is exactly what I do.

50-50 chance I'll have it on board. I usually carry it in to port for both the pictures and the ability to make emergency calls.

In the nightstand drawer on arrival ... use IPAD for free internet ...may take phone to port if alone

Turned off and in the safe as soon as we set sail. I usually call Mom as we sail away. Remember I don't have the fancy phones most of you have. i take a camera for pictures.

I tot my phone with me because it's also my camera.

camera use only

Turned off in the safe.

I usually take my phone with me. It's what I use to take photo's, and HAL has a great app that let's you know the different activities around the ship.

Going into Port, I'll take my phone again as it is my camera too....so having it with me is important. However, I do know when to put it away too, unlike some people who are strictly attached to their devices! LOL
