Best Thing That Happened on a Cruise ...

Got engaged ...got divorced ..met that special someone. what was the best thing that ever happened to you on a cruise?

For me, it was restoring my serenity and peace of mind. My mother had been murdered, I'd spent five long years in a courtroom, and I had become a shell of the person I used to be. I suffered from PTSD, depression, you name it. Cruising restored me. I could finally exhale and begin to enjoy life again. There is something about the ocean that has that impact on you and you can't help but feel that all is right with the world. I can close my eyes - hear, see & smell the ocean and go to my "happy place". I learned to stop letting people, places & things rob me of the joy I want to feel in my heart.

All of the stuff that happens to us on a cruise is the best stuff! We love being at sea. Even when we had to depart a port early due to weather, it was cool because it was a new experience to us. While we may have been disappointed, we looked at it as another day at sea to explore the ship and its activities😄😀

On very first cruise with Celebrity won the Bingo snowball jackpot. Had to split the 6600 jackpot with one other lady. She would not even shake my hand. Paid for our trip. Going on our 16th cruise in 4 days to Alaska.

Amazing how they let you know, we sailed two weeks after my Dads passing. In 45+ cruises I have never heard the words Gunsmoke or The Lone Ranger theme song. Four deferent people referred to Gunsmoke the tv series and the Lone Ranger theme was played by two different entertainers. My Dads favorites, I too thought it was him telling me all is good.

Seeing a pod of dolphins swim along side the ship while sitting on our balcony.

Simply enjoying a cruise for the first time after hubby's stroke a couple years ago. A Boston-Bermuda voyage ended up being the blessing of a lifetime.

I think there is "an eye in the sky" EVERYWHERE nowadays ...

I never knew that. But with jumpers and accidents, its logical.

Ahhhhh the ships have camera's looking down the side of the ships, balcony is not to private.

Hence the popularity of the internet.....

Yep. But is was dark and no one around. I do have scruples....
