Loved seeing the East Coast of Australia. The sea views were amazing. Excursions went well.

Great for families with loud kids by SandInMyShoes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Pros: - staff is friendly & efficient - MDR menu & food is remarkably better than on RCI US based ships Cons: - Windjammer isn’t open until 7am. Not even a small section for light bfast - mattress is much too hard - Toilet paper is very rough - Didn’t inform us of port cancellation until after we were scheduled to arrive (app notification would have been helpful) - Offer specific areas in the dining rooms for guests without children - The number of forks with bent tines is atrocious App - hard to find specific things (ie operating hours of guest services; Diamond Lounge; temperature outside; etc). A search function would help.

Great food and ship, but noisy by mdcatdad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Edge

the ever-present pop music in public spaces is annoying; in the dining facilities and other public spaces it's recorded, but there is frequent, amplified live singing in the center of the ship. like most cruise ships, the spa mixes useful, but very expensive, treatments (massage) with pseudoscience (acupuncture, "detoxing", etc.) drink packages are very expensive, especially for non-alcoholic drinks, as is laundry service (e.g. a $3 charge for each pair of socks!)

Great way to see a lot of Australia and New Zealand by mark39652168

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this trip. We may even do it again in a few years. Highly recommended. I really like this ship size. 2,000 people but never felt crowded. Other than embarkation and disembarkation, there was never a line to get on or off at port. The NCL excursions were mostly sold out, but we had great luck booking direct through the local visitor's center or online before we sailed.

Wonderful New Zealand Cruise out of Sydney, Australia by sleppo1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess

We understand no one can control the weather, so you just learn to roll with the waves and not let it ruin a perfectly good time.
