Delight Trip by shaomeiliu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Solstice

Interesting trip, and love it. One thing disppointed was anytime dining room seating: first night we was guided to the table, but did nt let us seated, let us waiting at the corridor for long time; secong night it happened again, the empty table was available, but not let us seated; the third night we was seated with 10 people while an empty table was next to out table. We were never came to this dining room again.

Great for families with loud kids by SandInMyShoes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas

Pros: - staff is friendly & efficient - MDR menu & food is remarkably better than on RCI US based ships Cons: - Windjammer isn’t open until 7am. Not even a small section for light bfast - mattress is much too hard - Toilet paper is very rough - Didn’t inform us of port cancellation until after we were scheduled to arrive (app notification would have been helpful) - Offer specific areas in the dining rooms for guests without children - The number of forks with bent tines is atrocious App - hard to find specific things (ie operating hours of guest services; Diamond Lounge; temperature outside; etc). A search function would help.

Great food and ship, but noisy by mdcatdad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Edge

the ever-present pop music in public spaces is annoying; in the dining facilities and other public spaces it's recorded, but there is frequent, amplified live singing in the center of the ship. like most cruise ships, the spa mixes useful, but very expensive, treatments (massage) with pseudoscience (acupuncture, "detoxing", etc.) drink packages are very expensive, especially for non-alcoholic drinks, as is laundry service (e.g. a $3 charge for each pair of socks!)

Great way to see a lot of Australia and New Zealand by mark39652168

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of this trip. We may even do it again in a few years. Highly recommended. I really like this ship size. 2,000 people but never felt crowded. Other than embarkation and disembarkation, there was never a line to get on or off at port. The NCL excursions were mostly sold out, but we had great luck booking direct through the local visitor's center or online before we sailed.

Wonderful New Zealand Cruise out of Sydney, Australia by sleppo1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess

We understand no one can control the weather, so you just learn to roll with the waves and not let it ruin a perfectly good time.

Great Barrier Reef Adventure by RickyCharleston

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Edge

Great cruise which could have been greater with an itinerary that involved more stops and less days at sea. It was a 10 day cruise essentially that included 5 days at sea which we felt was excessive. The design of the ship and the activities offered as well as the exceptional shopping did more the sea days more enjoyable than usual however.

EXPLORING GREAT BARRIER REEF by AlandLiz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Edge

The Celebrity Edge cruise was an outstanding experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was world class. Dining in all restaurants was great. The staff was very good in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness. The briefings given by the embarked Great Barrier Reef Pilot were particularly informative.

Nothing to say. Felt service was less than prior sailings. Probably wouldn't sail on this ship again.

NZ/AUS 12 nighter by snkhawes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit

Was a lot of value for what you pay. Biggest disappointment was the excursions. Choose carefully, some over priced, especially Eden. Time in ports to short to do much.

Good introduction to southeast Australia as well as New Zealand by Steamfan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess

The weather was largely fine, though the Tasman Sea crossing was rough. Despite the few negatives, we enjoyed our cruise overall. We were very fortunate to enjoy perfect weather during our Milford Sound cruising.
