Review summary

We noticed some cut backs since this is our 1st cruise since Covid. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We met some amazing people we hope to maintain friendships with. We will be doing this cruise again, this is our 3 Alaska Cruise with Holland America.

Extremely smooth embarkation, no waiting inline, onboard within 10 minutes of our “allotted time”

Food and Dining

Other than 1 meal in the dining room, all our meals were very good. Pinnacle Restaurant was excellent.

Onboard Activities

There didn’t seem to be as many activities as on other cruises we’ve been on. We did Bingo & Trivia, and attended a health seminar.

Entertainment

LOVED the band in the Rolling Stone Lounge, BEST entertainment on board. Not saw 2 performances by the ships ‘dancers’ as 1 night was cancelled. The Duelling Pianos were good. We thought the entertainment was a tad lacking compared to pre Covid.

Service and Staff

Only 2 waiters really stood out, as we were on open seating. We sat in their section twice, they gave us extraordinary service compared to the others who served us. They should be moved to the Pinacle Dining Room IMO. Our room stewards were also excellent.

Ship Quality

Ship was spotless. Loved the layout, easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the location of this cabin. Basically 3 floors up or down to be where we needed. A bit for forward on the ship, but not too much, and very close to the elevator, was worried it may be noisy, but it wasn’t. It was on the Port side, which was excellent for docking in all the ports as well as viewing Glacier Bay. Would definitely choose a local close to this cabin in the future.

Ship tip

We chose to purchase the Have it All Package..is cost is about $200.00 each more and we each ended up with about $800.00+ worth of product. Definitely a great deal.
