Prefer mixed age clientele, HAL caters to very senior citizens (and I am one). Beverage package not worth it. I constantly felt that they wanted to get our money.

Average age 75, many wheelchairs, be prepared for that. Food is great but don't bother with the drink package. You can get water from the drink stations on the Lido deck.
No excursion but rented the clamshell. Turned out the time there is too short to just lay on the chair. There is lunch and the water is so amazing that we spent most our time in the water.
No excursion, but probably should have. We walked Oranjestad and it was underwhelming. We took the public bus, that was interesting. Our friends did the snorkel tour and came away disappointed, too crowded. There were 17 boats with snorkel tours all on one area.... Need I say more.
Canal experience was our tour and it was disappointing. The boat was old with a malfunctioning engine that spewed fumes for 4 hours. We all held wet towels over our faces ... For 4 hours. My friend had a serious asthma attack due to the fumes and the boat had zero medical equipment on board. No AED either. We all complained to HAL and got our money back for the tour. But HAL did not check on the folks with medical emergencies and considering we came to see the Panama Canal and basically missed it and got sick... We feel HAL should do more. Lousy customer service.
