Ok, from what I'm hearing the excursions at Panama were disappointing mostly. As far as shopping at Colon... forget it. The shopping district is drab and run down looking, not safe and just a waste of time. But, they have to find something for the non excursion people to do waiting for others to reboard. Also, if you take an excursion you will miss the second canal passage. I HIGHLY suggest saving your money and doing your shopping at Costa Rica at the area right off the pier. If you have an excursion leave the ship early to check it out; you won't be disappointed.

No, we had been to HMC before so knew what was there. We went on a Sonny Binns Island Tour in Aruba. Excellent tour. In Curacao, did the tram and then, shopping on our own. Beautiful place. No tour at Panama Canal, just watched from the ship. It rained all day so we were glad we didn't plan an excursion. You can get off at Colon, there is a shopping area and casino. We just wanted a relaxing cruise, so all in all, it worked out. Curacao was my favorite port.

Yes, we had very rough seas for two of the last three days.

How disappointing. Were the seas so rough that it was uncomfortable for the passengers?

The ship did not dock due to heavy winds and high waves. Unsafe to dock. Several people said they had previously experienced the same problem at that port.

I called HollandAmerica. They had no info on this. Said we are scheduled to go to Costa Rica and there is no change.

Try calling Holland to see if there is an itinerary issue with that port.
