First of all, it was definitely an older clientele cruise.....(70+) and pretty much most of food and activities catered to them. It also allowed smoking in public areas where you would go to try to relax. Yuk!

There is no more smoking in the casino and that is a plus for us. Smoking area is outside on port side aft. I can avoid that area as second hand smoke makes me sick. So relieved that Holland America has taken a stand on this. Apparently after a ship goes into dry dock that is the way smoking will be handled from now on.

The ship is small enough that you should be able to get around easily. Explore it all. Walk the promenade and check out all the quiet places with views to read a book.

The ship caters to an elderly crowd, so there are very few children and the activities are limited. However, the food and service are top notch.

Don't miss the Lido omelette station, take the mid ship glass elevators (way faster and a view too), explore the ship to find your own favorite place, there are many.

If sailing out of Canada Place in Vancouver going to the port around 1:30 will get you through much quicker. If you are ok with waiting for your food the dining room has a great breakfast.
