The trip was a little long after leaving the last port (Cadiz) in Spain.

Review summary

A good cruise line. Services for what was offered was excellent. Daily activity offerings were lacking and could improve. Eight days a sea was long and could have used an additional one or two stops at ports in the Atlantic to break up the lack of anticipation and activities on board. All in all, the stops in Spain were excellent and the cruise was relaxing, just not Fun.

Embarkation

Boarding the ship was very easy as we were able to go to our assigned rooms upon boarding. The departure party was disappointing at best

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The meals in the main dining room were average in flavor. The dinner on the second Gala Night was very good. Service was excellent at dinner in the main dining room. The Lido Deck dining was excellent with so many choices for each meal. Service was fantastic.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The selection of Evening entertainment was very good. Our favorite was the Billboard Lounge. Danny and Paulina were excellent. We enjoyed the main stage presentations as well as BB King's. Unfortunately daytime activities were limited. More music (live) and activities in the pool areas is needed.

Ship Quality

Common areas were always clean and spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was small including the balcony. Could be a tad larger. When checking in the room contained fruit flies. The elimination of these should have been take care off prior to our occupancy. Also, I had to wipe some stains from the bathroom door and on the wall behind the location of the wastebasket in the main cabin. The balcony should have been swept daily.

Ship tip

Prepare for a relaxing cruise and expect very low key activities during the day.

Ports of call

Cartagena, Spain

We took a paid excursion tour that included a historical walking tour along with three (3) stops that included tapas wine and beer. Tour guide was perfect as we learned so much about the city and we were fed. Highly recommended

Malaga, Spain

What a beautiful port. This one we played by ear, and walked the downtown, shopping area. Gorgeous, all streets were tiled and so clean. Vendors were very helpful and friendly.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

This port we took a paid excursion via a bicycle tour. The guide was excellent and showed us all of the city, old and new. The tour included a couple of stops in museums, churches and some Roman ruins. Highly recommend, but be aware. Most streets are of stone and are very narrow.

Disembarkation

A little behind schedule, but the crew allowed for the disembarkation to run smooth. US Customs took a while to clear do to the amount of agents check everyone through.
