Review summary

This transatlantic was totally relaxing and enjoyable. We won't hesitate to do another. Our cabin was very spacious and the ships staff and crew were friendly and attentive. The ship is well designed, and every area is accessible with plenty of elevators and stairways. The food was excellent; we highly recommend this ship for a relaxing and elegant cruising experience.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We've had smoother and quicker embarkations, but this was not the worst.

Service and Staff

The staff in every department went above and beyond remembering names, friendly and attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent layout, very accessible, classy decor and clean. Not ultra modern, but well maintained and plenty of stairways and elevators. She could use larger public saunas and more deck space for sunning.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This stateroom was the largest we've ever enjoyed and was wonderful for a 13 night transatlantic. Plenty of room to get ready for formal night together, stretch out, play cards or watch movies. Would book this room again in a heart beat.

Ship tip

The public sauna and change areas are very small and if it's a full ship, the sun space on deck would be limited. If you like to dance, there is only one small dance floor. The ship is attractive and classy and very accessible. There is no having to go up one or down one deck to get somewhere. It's quiet, very smooth with good entertainment and a quality staff.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Charming small city, but not a lot to see or do.

Cartagena, Spain

4 out of 5
Easy to get off and on the ship, with plenty of shopping. Very lovely city.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
Loved this place. Not as accessible from the ship, but a great beach (walking distance) and a beautifully planned waterfront and shopping area.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
The old city is unique with it's very narrow cobblestone streets. get a map and try to follow it. The beach by the newer city is beautiful and worth going to.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Love, love, love this city whether to dine, shop, beach or just enjoy the water taxi. Our favourite port to sail from or to and enjoy for a few days.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little slower than expected, but I think it was largely due to U. S. customs.
