Bring cash! Many places you go do not accept credit cards, like all public transports in Japan. ATMs do not take US credit cards for withdrawals, either. With cash, you can use the automated money exchange machines at the port terminals very easily.

Food was good. Lido buffet was too chaotic and crowded, especially at lunch when hours seemed too short. You could never get a good full lunchtime meal after 2pm, which was a disappointment for those returning from excursions about 2pm, and only burger joint open between 4-5:30.

Best room stewards ever! Quick and efficient. I would hang the "Tidy up, please" tag and even if i.was gone only a half-hour, the room was cleaned already.

Perfect layout with good storage. Located close to aft elevators.
No tour needed, easy to do on your own. The castle is worth seeing from outside, but going inside it was a disappointment because I expected shogun displays and furniture, but it was mostly bare. Plus, ten steep flights of stairs to the top and again to return. Take pictures of it from outside, but don't bother buying a ticket to go inside.
