I would highly recommend this cruise, although it was a little late in the season for Alaska. Wasn't terribly cold, but 3 of the 4 ports it was raining HARD! So, excursions and exploring were limited... and no Northern Lights because the clouds were always overhead. But it was an excellent cruise and the ship was extremely comfortable.

I think the cruise line did a terrible job of providing what documentation would be required for the trip. They should NOT allow you to check in with a drivers license, if you can't SAIL with a drivers license. There were way too many people with document problems calling home trying to get copies of birth certificates sent. In our case teh entire reason for the cruise was to celebrate a 90 year birthday part, BUT the 90 year old was denied boarding because her passport was expired. No one EVER told her she needed a passport or birth certificate. Sadly she had to turn around and fly home to Tampa all by herself while the rest of us went on her birthday cruise. TERRIBLE!

Food was top notch, and the service even better! Although I would like to see self service soft ice cream machines available around the clock, the line to get ice cream was always TOO long and only available at certain times.

Could NOT have been better! Excellent service and friendliness. We LOVED Gus in the dining room... but EVERYONE was great!
except for rain. It was a little too late in the season for Alaska... probably my favorite stop. Loved the Salmon and the Seals that came in to eat them!
Who made your reservations for your cruise and also somebody should have checked her passport to see if it was expired this is a very sad thing. Also if it's a closed loop, all you need is a birth certificate but with that if it's not you do need to passport. I'm so sorry this happened to her and next time please make sure everybody's passport is up to date this was a very sad thing and I'm so sorry to hear this. Other than that I'm glad that you had a good time
