7 Night Alaska Inside Passage (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 14, 2006
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 11 years ago
The ship was very nice. Our cabin was excellant. Food in the dining room was also excellent but inconvenient for dinner, much prefer "free style" dining. Lido restrauant had good entrees & salads but long lines & many times ran out of items. Rarely were there sugar free deserts, which was unfortunate for my diabetic husband.

Food and Dining

Unflexible dining room hours was unpleasant. Optional Lido dining was poor.

Entertainment

would've liked to have had a duplicate bridge game on board. Also Texas Hold'um poker would have been nice.

Service and Staff

Nice that we had the option to get away from the tourist traps or not.
Don't Miss: mendenhal glacier

too much to see in too little time. Ship arrived too late in the day at a port that could easily consume a couple of days.
Don't Miss: Buchardt gardens

Pros: we were upgraded to a room with a window which was great. Our cabin steward, Aris, was marvelous.

Cons: Meals in the dining room were really good but having a set time & table for dinner was not. Using the Lido as an alternative was horrible. Long lines, running out of various food assortments, only to have the same item reappear the next day....we were being rationed!
