First Cruise by Joycer1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my first cruise and it took the first two days to get acculamated to the ship, and all that was available. The Compass daily newsletter was a big help. I can not say enough how great the staff and service was, a special shout out to our dinner staff, Edwardo and Datta.... may God bless them.

I would pass on this one. by KarenW7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was very disappointed in this cruise. The view from the balcony was reduced by 30%, there is no in room WiFi (of course I wasn't told this until bought a $100 package), The WiFi is very unreliable and there is no help in the computer room. There weren't any inserts in the daily letters about shows or ports. I never did find a way to find out about the shows. And no chocolates at night turn down. We are seniors and we don't snorkel, zip line, ride 4x4's etc. The tours for non athletic people are really, really poor. A total waste of time. This ship and destinations are not up Royal Caribbean standards.

It was a great vacation except for security guards chasing us like if we were doing something wrong and not letting us have fun.

Best Cruise Ship - Ever! by LoreneA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

-Upgrade the dress code. Too casual in Dining Rooms. Grandma's jeans and sneakers the norm. Glamourous ship - Dress up! Saw some irrate passenger go ballistic over a muscle shirt and not admitted to Dining Room for improper attire - Good, keep up the good work of maintaining rules. Great ship - lovely - artistic. Ice Show is TOPS!! Entertainment excellent

time to relax and recharge by Jms

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is so smooth and you can pick from a million things to casino, dancing, eating, many activities, then just sitting in the hot tub, swimming, and relaxing in the sun.

Great cruise! by PatO

Sail date: /
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is big and beautiful; the bed mattress was very comfortable (no back ache!); the dining was great; the service was, as always, awesome! the shows were outstanding--music and ice skating performances. My first massage (Swedish) was so nice! I heartily recommend Royal Caribbean--any ship! Johnny Rockets restaurant was fun and yummy. The regular dining room was so very nice; selections were great; quality was outstanding. The buffet was fast and offered many choices.

Wonderful Family Vacation by DebE3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Voyager of the Seas ship was beautiful. The stateroom was spacious and they made excellent use of every inch of it. The bed and bedding was comfortable and it was always kept immaculate by our stateroom attendant. We were very impressed with the quality of the food on the ship, especially in the main dining room. Our kids tried Johnny Rockets and they said it was just like at home except you can order all you want to eat. The shows in the evening were very good. I used the spa and got a great massage and facial. It doesn't quite have the ambiance that you get in a spa on land, but you're on a boat and they have limited space, but it was very relaxing. Only recommendations, bring your own lighted alarm clock. We were in an inside stateroom and it is pitch black. Great for sleeping but you don't have a clue of the time. I waited and booked our excursions once we were on board and didn't have any problems getting any. Highly recommend the kayacking and snorkeling in Honduras. The tour was wonderful and the group was very friendly and made it so much fun. Don't recommend the speedboat excursion in Cozumel unless you want to pay $100 a person to drive a speedboat in a circle.

rags to riches by JosephB10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My wife and I have sailed twice with the royal Caribbean and were looking forard to this adventure to our scheduled ports. I say rags to riches due to the first evening of our cruise. All was well until dinner. Service was slow, food was cold and we seemed to be ignored by our servers. Once we optained their attention, this is where we went to riches, They didn't stop pampering us the rest of the cruise. On board service in all areas, including the staff that helped us prepare our excursions went way beyond any service we ever had. The recommended excursions were perfect for our needs and we accomplished everything we wanted to do. Weather was not a factor for our travel and we enjoyed evrything we involved ourselfs in. From show entertainment, cascino, dinning and just meeting other passengers who had no issues conversing with us. Bingo was a hoot, even though we didn't win, the announcer just made the whole event enjoyable. Now as the trip came to an end, we headed into a cold front that made the last evening seas a bit rough. But as head strong troopers, the morning greeted us with sunshine and smiling faces on all cruise members up until leaving the ship. No problem booking another cruise ASAP.

WOW !!!! WHAT A CRUISE...... by KellyB7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

WOW is all I can say, this was my 1st cruise and the wifes 2nd.The Voyager of the Sea's is an incredible ship it's actually a floating city with anything you could possibly need and can do.The staff on board treat you like a million bucks and will do anything for you.I believe everyone should take a cruise at least once in their lifetime just to experience what it's like to be totally stress free from everyday life. The food anytime is great ,I didn't realize I would go on the ship as a passenger and come off as cargo but it was worth every bite. This cruise really was the best time of my life. Thanks Royal Caribbean.

First Cruise Blues by Erik11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise (my wife and I). We have heard many great things from my parents about Royal Caribben and everywhere they have been (5+ cruises w/ Royal Caribbean) so we decided to take one. The Windjammer was good, what do you expect out of a buffet, because if you're expectations are high, lower them. The dining experience can go two ways. The food was absolutely perfect, but we had horrible service. Our waiter was not wanting to take good care of us as much as the next table. Our last formal evening, the alcohol waiter dropped a tray of liquor on me. Although I did get a bottle of wine out of it, I also received a stained shirt that I had to throw away and a very upset wife that still wanted to take pictures. Our stateroom service was immaculate. Always clean (they clean twice a day!) and the lady that cleaned it knew our names before we had even met her! This ship also has a Johnny Rockets. Which if you're not in the mood for buffet or a 'fine' dining experience is always a good stop for a burger, fries and pretty delicious onion rings. Overall, we will sail again w/ Royal Caribbean, but not on this ship.

Fabulous experience by SueE

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Impression was this is a classy ship - excellent crew and cruise director, outstanding food and dining service, room attendant Donald was superior to anything I have ever experienced. Music in the lounges was great. The musical review in the big theater was a totally great experience, breakfast was super - you can even design your own omlets, the quality and quantity of the exercise equipment was top notch, all classes were great. Pools and hot tubs were plentiful, clean and well maintained. I can't rave enough about this ship. Loved the daily compass newsletter informing you of EVERYTHING that is happening for the day and the Cruise Director Casey's morning TV show. Loved that Travel with Alan.com put together a great reasonable package for us on this ship.

Overall, the trip was great. Most of the service was excellent. Ship was big and the people in the dining area did everything possible to accommodate my wife who has a wheat allergy. Very attentive to her needs.

Had a really good time! by Marci1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

I think that for the price, the Carnival Conquest is better. I was on the Conquest about a year ago and found the food and experience over-all to be better than the Voyager. I did have a good time on the Voyager and found the staff and entertainment to be good.
