We had a lot of fun getting to know the staff. I would recommend doing some of the onboard activities, like the gameshows, because that was where we laughed a lot.

Do not use the dining room. The buffet had the same food and it was hot.

You don’t need to book your excursions on the ship. I used Hop on Hop off buses at majority of the Ports. It is ok to use their shuttle bus to get you into some of the Cities and do your own walking tour of Palma de Mallarco, Valencia Ibiza etc. In Toulon the water taxi is about a 30 mins walk and it was about 4 Euros round trip. It would be on the right side in an almost deserted area right before you reach the casino. It is next to an old abandoned building. Walk through the unkept parking lot until you get to a turnstile..

We love this size of ship. Yes they are getting a bit old now, but still a lovely ship. We like the size as you do manage to meet other guests and see them regularly throughout your cruise. The staff get to know you better on a smaller ship.

Choose a room either at aft or forward as the noise can be a bit much in the middle due to the centrum design for entertainment.

Ship was dirty and outdated. Found dust and dirt in very normal, seen places that was obviously overlooked for at least a year

Small ship. Disappointing food. Couldn't get coffee 24/7. Soft serve ice cream wasn't always available either

There may not be much to do on this ship but enjoy the time while you’re on Vision. You’re on vacation. Relax by the pool, Schooner Bar, Centrum, in one of the lounges just watching the water as you cruise. Making new friends. This is what cruising is all about.

make sure you learn as much as possible about the electronic communication on the ship - it is paperless and using the app alone on ship is not enough to stay "in the know"

Set up your dining time as soon as you can. We chose "My Time dining" at 6:45 which worked for us. If you like your wait staff request them for every night. Also, bring a bottle to fill for ice and water. You can order bottled water ahead to have in your room, but you will not need more than 12 bottles.
