We really enjoyed the cruise. The staff was excellent and being a smaller ship you got to meet people and get around easily. The ports were good too.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We arrived at the assigned time and were able to get right on the ship with NO waiting in line.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The ship was clean and most areas were updated and very nice especially the Main Dining room. Our cabin was small, but that is what we expected for what we paid. We did have a large window ocean view. The food was very good and the service was always excellant.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We usually went to the Solarium pool and always found seats at both pools. I took a couple exercise classes that were on the pool deck. They were the morning stretch and Zumba. They were fun. I also took a dance class and participated in other dance activities. Really enjoyed the "Hush" disco. We also went to an Art Auction and Bingo. Bingo was expensive and I would not do that again.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The entertainment was very good. The musicians and dancers were excellent in the main theater. I was not really impressed with the comedy show but for a small ship they did good in having something every night.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent and brought us all that we needed. We liked the dining room wait staff so much that we made sure we had the same ones every night. All of the staff from the dining room to the service desk were always friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I'm giving this an excellent as most of the ship was in great shape and we only saw some wear and aging in our cabin, but nothing that bad. All in all it was decorated and like new.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin was clean and comfortable. It offered plenty of storage space and the bed was OK. The bathroom could have been a bit larger, especially the shower. We took a chance by not picking our own room (for less $) and did end up at the end of the hallway (2nd last room). The location did help on the last sea day when it was a little rough out. All in all we did just fine with it.
Ship tip
Set up your dining time as soon as you can. We chose "My Time dining" at 6:45 which worked for us. If you like your wait staff request them for every night. Also, bring a bottle to fill for ice and water. You can order bottled water ahead to have in your room, but you will not need more than 12 bottles.
We took a nice excursion to see some of old San Juan and saw the Fort which was nice. Then went into the new part to the America's Mall. The mall was just like any in the US - not as big as expected.
We really enjoyed the excursion we took here. It included a visit to Fairview Great House and to the Fort which was very interesting. St Kitts looks like a nice place.
I had been looking forward to visiting St Lucia and seeing the Pitons. The excursion to the Pitons took 1 1/2 hours each way and you only got to see them from a distance. It did show how poor the people there live. I would not recommend that excursion.
Antigua was our favorite port. The island is beautiful and has 365 beaches. We took an excursion on an 80 foot catamaran which took us all the way around the island. We stopped at a beach where we could go on a guided snorkeling tour if we chose to. They served a good lunch and free beverages.
We had no trouble getting off the ship and getting our luggage. The only thing was we actually were able to get off early, so we had to wait about 40 min for our ride.
