Review summary

Beautiful countries, but there is a great deal of poverty. I enjoyed the weather and the beaches, but I was sadden to see many shacks and garbage in the cities.

Embarkation

Parking takes a long time. Not well organized. Security and checking in was very fast

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food in dining room was basic (appetizers portions were so small they should be called samples), the steaks looked like they were cut using a cold cut slicer, the desserts were not even tempting (Jello, custards, sugar free, Vegan, and gluten free).

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Only walked of track, fitness center actually looked crowded. A number of puzzles were available and I enjoyed that.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The band is always excellent. The RC dancers OK, however two of the shows were the same from a cruise I took in 2019. The Duo*** was very good, the magician was very.

Service and Staff

Waiters tried really hard. At buffet they quick to bring beverages and clean table. Room Stewards kept the room nice and Tidy

Ship Quality

A like small ships

Cabin / Stateroom

I was originally in 2138. Cabin 2138 should only be given to a hearing impaired person. The engine noise was very loud. I complained at the service desk and was told that ship was full and there was nothing they could do. I complain at Crown and anchor Mr. Wang worked real hard to change me to cabin 3650. Some engine noise but not as bad as 2138.

Ship tip

Pick your cabin close to the middle and the elevator. I did a lot of walking because my cabin was almost to the end.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

My excursion was cancelled so we just went to the beach. Beautiful port. The water was clear calm and shallow the sand was soft temperature was great we were the only ship so there was a lot of space and shaded chairs.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Arrival time not suitable for any excursion I would want to do. We shopped at CVS Barrilito rum and Puerto Rican Coffee Yaucono. Had mofongo in a restaurant called Raíces. It was terrible

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

We walked to the beach. Beach was beautiful but very rocky. Really needed pool shoes Paid $10 per chairs sat under a tree. They wanted $30 for one set of chair and umbrella. They claimed that the ship sets the prices.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

We took the public bus from Port of France to Saint Pierre. Only cost 2 Euros each way so for 8 Euros we saw the entire coast.. They speak French and are not very friendly. No need to ever return. We took the bus to the last stop hoping to just turn around, but the bus driver kicked us off the bus. Did not speak English and did not try to help. A lady on the bus said the bus returning was up the street. It took about 15 minutes walk to the bus stop. The concept of forming a line to get on the bus is non existence.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Paid for the beach and shopping tour. The beach was very nice the chairs and umbrellas were included in the price. The sand was very soft and very clean, A little pink like Bermuda and the ocean was very nice and shallow, and the temperature was good . The shopping was basically bringing us back to the port where you could shop at port. However that’s actually a free thing because you didn’t have to go on a excursion to go shopping but the beach was very nice. We spent three hours at the beach and then they were brought us back . food and drinks were available for sale 10-$15 for drink about $25 for food

Castries, St. Lucia

We did the double decker bus tour. This was a very expensive bus ride through the city in a double-decker bus, thank goodness that we were inside and not on the top. You have to duck for branches if you were on the top After about 40 minutes the bus pulled into a parking lot according to the tour information we were supposed to take a quick photo break at pigeon Beach. Instead, we sat there for one hour, and then the bus came back to the port. One dollar to use the bathroom and four dollars for a cup of ice cream. No need to return to St. Lucia either.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

This was a much better bus tour. It included a little history and stopped in several places to take pictures. Got coconut and water for $3. Men Hawaiian shirt for $10 .

Disembarkation

Terrible weather, parking was slushy difficult to walk or carry luggage. Not enough porters to help with the luggage after waiting 20+ decided to just go on my own
