Review summary

We are still talking about how wonderful, once in a lifetime, cruise.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was very quick, but we arrived early and used the port's Wifi until boarding. Those with suites were boarded first.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed the main dining room. Only one evening was a disappointment. We purchased a three night package of specialty restaurants and really enjoyed our two nights at Chops; Giovanni’s was really not well prepared food. Service in both restaurants was amazing.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools; we you cruising to relax and refresh.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I love the live music of the orchestra. I do not like jugglers, ventriloquists, and pick pockets doing a show. I felt that the dancers/singers should have done more than two shows for a 16 day trip.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
New waiters in main dining room; sweet men but I felt that they were overwhelmed.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Old ship and tired looking.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Our steward kept it clean but we had to get maintenance about a half dozen times to fix broken things.

Ship tip

It is an old ship but it was the journey that we wanted, not the ship.

Not much Tom see.

We did the Maguey Beach escape. Nice beach but getting on and off boat was tricky. Getting there and back had many views of sea turtles just swimming around.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

3 out of 5
We took the ship's free shopping bus to old town. Walked around the ocean walk ( very pretty) and took a cab back( $10US).

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Tendered in, took the free Diamond International bus to shopping area ( very small), and walked back via the harbour..very pretty.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Taxi to the airport, immediately.

Disembarkation

We took our own luggage off. It was fast and got a taxi very quickly. Morning traffic was terrible and we had a wild ride!
