Vali - Son of Odin The son of Odin and the giantess Rind, Vali was conceived to avenge the death of Baldur, another of Odin’s children. Often known as the god of vengeance, he is so focused on his task he neglects to care for himself until he has avenged his brother’s death. In the end, he kills Hodur, an uwitting player, and binds Loki, the orchestrator of Baldur’s demise.

Disappointing and poor value by Passenger77777

Disappointing cruise because 50% of cruise we were traveling by bus for hours back and forth.Very poor value. Nothing relaxing. Balcony rooms tiny. Half of the time we were parallel docked next to other Viking ship with no views, privacy. Why to pay extra to have balcony if you can’t enjoy it? There is nothing to do on board. Food was average. No communication from Viking company regarding constant changes. Staff is excellent but I felt that they were used as “escape goats”for Viking company.

This truly was the trip of a lifetime. The included free tours were very worthwhile. They locals they hire are knowledgeable and entertaining. We had several add-ons as well that turned out to be excellent too. We are bitterly disappointed that we only got 5 days on the ship, but we did find the German surgeons and aftercare to be high quality. We will find out how good the trip insurance is...

There is a pull-out cord in the shower where you can wash and hang out socks and undies if you want to. Getting laundry done on board is very expensive.

Poor value for what we received. It was 50% bus tour versus river cruise and no views or privacy because of docking parallel to other Viking ship.
