Review summary

The first week on board was okay until starting December 2, we had a "hot water" problem in our cabin, which persisted until December 6. This problem ruined the whole cruise. I was stressed out not knowing if I could shower or not. They said (Receptionist Desk) that Los Angeles Office was made aware of this, but to date nobody has contacted me yet about our misfortune in this particular cruise. Also, we felt there some kind of discrimination when being served compared to faired skin passengers.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Yes, did an optional dinner excursion, food not to my expectations with the money we paid for the excursion. The chicken kebab, the main entrée was over cooked, tough. I did not travel all the way to Athens to eat chicken.

Mykonos, Greece

Fine, nothing special, been here and done that before already.

Rhodes, Greece

The staff from the excursion department directed us to the wrong tour. We missed our optional tour because of their mistake. Ruined our whole day.

Limassol, Cyprus

It was raining, a lot of passengers got left behind by the bus.

Haifa, Israel

The tour guide was not good at all. We did not enjoy or learn anything good about the Haifa kept on talking about stuff we were not there to see. Supposedly he will bring us to the Summit of Mt. Carmel.

Ashdod, Israel

Did optional excursions to Jerusalem and Bethlehem; Nazareth and Sea of Galilee. All together they were fine, except the included lunch were not properly planned. There 5 loads of buses so we have to fall in line to be able to get our food, very unorganized. Also, they took us to Souvenir Shops, where our time was wasted instead of spending more time in Holy Sites.

Iraklion (Heraklion), Crete Did not visit port

Ship cannot docked, which we found out has happened several times in the past. Should not have included this port. Instead we had 3 days at sea.

Naples, Italy

4 out of 5
The best included tour. Was free was the most enjoyable included tour

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
The included was also very good. We were able to spend a little time inside St Peters Basilica. These 2 latest included tours were so far the best tours we had in this cruise without spending so much money, which we did for the other optional tours we paid for.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Very systematic.
