There is a lot to like about a Viking cruise, especially the comfortable and relaxed ambiance on the ship, the included excursions in the various ports, and the high quality of service.

Enough variety in both buffets and main dining room for non-vegetarians. The fish dishes were nicely done. There was only one vegetarian entree per night on the changing side of the dinner menu. The afternoon tea at 4 pm was very nice. We appreciated the included wine and beer at dinner. There was non-alcoholic beer available and 3 nice mocktails.

All good. There was no library, but the whole ship was like a giant book exchange, books everywhere with the options to take one or leave one. Guest Services was appropriately located in a quiet corner.
Cabin / Stateroom

It felt a little smaller than on the larger cruise ships, it it was perfectly adequate. The bathroom was excellent, with lots of storage for personal items.

The Viking staff is extremely well organized. Enjoy the cruise!
The smoothest of any cruise disembarkation I’ve experienced. Although I had arranged my own air travel, I used Viking transport to the airport. The Viking staff members accompanied us through SJR’si initial luggage X-ray, which impressed me.
