Review summary

This was our fourth cruise on Viking (3 ocean and 1 river), and it lived up to our previous experiences. Viking needs to pay more attention to the details of its Caribbean excursions, which were uneven in quality and organization. That aside, the time we spent on the ship was uniformly wonderful.

The Viking Sea looked and felt brand new, even though it is the second oldest ship in the Viking Ocean fleet.

We did a St. Kitts/Nevis full day snorkeling trip, which was an expensive disaster. The boat was badly overcrowded. The morning snorkeling on St. Kitts was in an area with nothing to see, no fish, no coral and silted water. And the crew insisted on playing music at an ear-splitting level, while trying to force beer and rum drinks on passengers who didn't want to drink.

We did not have an included transfer to the San Juan airport. We took an Uber. Way less expensive and more convenient than the $59 pp bus transfer offered by Viking.
