Overall, having been Holland America customers, we thought this would be a step up. In fact, it was a bit disappointing. Viking really needs to be more helpful with air arrangements and allow more flexibility. Dining room service should have been much better, and food should have been better prepared. Very nice, clean ship with friendly staff and excellent entertainment. Cabin service was superb.
Embarkation

Air and transfer arrangements were difficult, and we had to do a lot of our own fixing. We were notified the ship would dock at a specific pier, but it was moved over a mile away, and we were not notified.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining room service was spotty. Once you got your main course, you were often forgotten. Meats were consistently undercooked, even after requesting changes.
Onboard Activities

Two pools, walking track, spa were very nice.
Entertainment

Very good group of performers.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
See above re. dining room. Manfredi's and Chef's Table restaurants were excellent. World Cafe was average.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very nice ship, clean and airy look, well laid out.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Slightly smaller than Holland America's verandah cabins, but very comfortable. Nice touches like heated bathroom floor, good-sized glass shower stall.
Ship tip
Plan your air itinerary very carefully and confirm transfers to and from ship.
Very trashy. We were expecting something like Bermuda, but it was not a nice place. Having escaped Irma and Maria, you would think it would look better. Nice excursion to Highlands.
A very poor but remarkably scenic island. Recommend going to waterfalls. We hired taxi driver Kelvin Albert at the dock, and he gave us a very good tour.
Included tour was just OK. We had a large tour bus with broken seats, and it was hard to get a good picture from it since windows would not open. At other stops we were aboard Toyota Cruiser small buses (with windows you could open), or open-air buses, best for photography.
Still recovering but beautiful. Included tour goes to some impressive viewpoints. Took an open-air taxi (small bus, really) to Coki Beach for snorkeling, a real highlight. Fare $9 each way per person, though it picked up passengers from other ships and made other stops.
