Make sure you know what room you are booking. Several other passengers thought they were getting rooms with a balcony and were actually on the main floor with only a window barely above the water line. No problem getting a deck chair, no one really "saved" their seat. Plenty of places to sit & chat

Very clean, comfortable. Felt like it was home. There were some cold days and the crew would come to you with wonderful warm wool blankets. What a great touch!!

Carefully read the description of the "included" shore excusions when comparing trips. Some are MUCH MUCH better than others. This one was disappointing. We went to China with Viking last year and all of the shore excursions were interesting, robust and truly "included" in the price.

When you've been traveling for more than a day, you're exhausted and want a shower, after the captain welcomes you aboard and tells everyone you can go downstairs to the restaurant, you can actually stay upstairs in the lounge and Aquavit to have a lighter fare and avoid the crowds before you crash! It is heavenly!

Beware of Viking - Transparency and Communication are SERIOUSLY LACKING. Due to low water, we actually had our port visits cut extremely short because we had to be bussed so much. Could have been handled so much better than it was. Due to this, it was a very unpleasant experience.
