Review summary

We enjoyed this cruise but would not do another one. Just not enough to see and do, especially in the evening.

We stayed in Budapest 2 days prior to the cruise, using Viking's accommodations. It was lovely and Viking was there every step of the way.e

Very small room and bathroom. We had a balcony but other Viking ships were often docked right up next to us so the balcony was unusable.

There is not much to do at night.

This must of been the Romantic Danube cruise. We did it in 2017. We did all of the walking tours also but were pretty tired at night so we weren't upset by not alot of nightime activity. I am glad that some aspects were good.

Appreciate your details. Glad you enjoyed your riverboat cruise. However, we understand your frustration about evening entertainment. Riverboat cruising is very different than ocean cruising. Each has a good side. Glad you tried it.

Thanks for your review. River cruises are not like ocean cruises. We took two - Danube and Rhine, both in December for Christmas markets. We were exhausted at night so felt there was no need for entertainment and I’m guessing Viking feels the same.
