Christmas Market Cruise on the Moselle and the Rhine by kejee28

We love Viking and have sailed all the rivers in Europe with them. This cruise was good but the Christmas Markets were hit or miss. Viking didn’t allow enough time in the ports where they were open.

We cruise quite often but this was our first Viking river cruise. It was like no other cruise in regards to service and the attention you receive from the staff. Excellent.

This is the best, most enjoyable vacation we have ever had. Talked about doing it for years - finally did it. Excursions were by far the best way to see the cities. Well worth the money spent. Already planning another one - just don't know which one.

It is very beneficial to arrive a day or two before your cruise embarks, especially when traveling from US to Europe. We were relaxed and refreshed to start the cruise and arrived early enough to the ship (around noon) to enjoy meeting other passengers.

Spring travelers should bring some allergy medicine. In addition, some members (4 of them) in our group were sick, one of them went to emergency went he arrived Basel.
