Review summary

We had a great time on the Veendam.  The Panama Canal is a must-see experience for everyone.  The staff and crew made the whole cruise fun and we felt very welcome and met so many nice people from all over the world.  Going through the Panama Canal is amazing and hard to explain to someone else.  You must experience it for yourself. The dining room staff were wonderful and the food was very good.  I appreciated the size of the ship- about 1350 passengers so you can get to know the crew members and the other guests.

The ship is a bit old, so the bathtub is a bit old looking, but fully functional.
