this ship is huge and holds 6,000 passengers. Be prepared for lots of people in elevators and buffet. Also, there are so many “packages” it’s confusing. Why a coffee package if there’s only coffee in the Windjammer and at Starbucks.

The craziness on embarkation day is not what you experience once sailing. Also, do not go to lunch or breakfast at peek times, it will be crowded and you may not get a seat. We found 8am in Solarium Bistro was the best time, not too crowded and a plenty of seating. Trying to each lunch/breakfast just before close will be hard to find seating.

Bring a non-surge protected outlet expander (not a power strip) with USB plugs.

Make time for everything

Huge ship but didn’t feel overcrowded. So many options for dining, activities, trivia, and the solarium was really nice - not too hot since it has some open areas.

Bring a 4” egg crate for the bed

Get to the pool early if you want a good spot. Also, just general info, there have been questions on booking a cruise while on one. We did this last year for this trip and again a few days ago for Feb 2025 on the Wonder. I like to equate the feeling to getting a tattoo while your drunk 😁 and the agents at Next Cruise are helpful, you dont really get a good deal unless you go with non refundable deposits. That unfortunately does not work for me. Not sure if I would do it this way again.

reserve your entertainment times early, they fill up fast.

You can try but even one week on the ship we didnt get to see everything!

Walk over the ship as soon as you get on to get your bearings.

Go to every Aqua Show that you can! You will love it!

Be prepared for a lot of people and mediocre food

My advice would be to switch tables early on if you aren't happy with the service. We had done that on our last cruise and I wish we had done it this time.

Getting off the cruise ship a few weeks ago I took a bad fall. The gang way had a soapy solution that made it very slippery. There was a slight breeze and i believe they had been spraying/cleaning the balconies. They escorted me to the medical facility and was treated for a cut on my back and my elbow. It took me a couple of weeks before the pain in my neck and back went away. Called Royal Caribbean thinking they might be willing to give me some credit for a future cruise. I was told there was no record of the accident report that was filled out and NO RECORD of me even visiting the medical facility. I was seen by the nurse and then the doctor. So I was told they will not do anything. DO NOT TRUST ROYAL CARIBBEAN!!

Be nice to everyone, most people on the ship are very talkative so don’t be shy to talk to other people.

Unfortunately larger ships mean lots of kids without supervision. This is a problem for someone trying to enjoy the vacation. We had a parent place an infant in diapers in hot tub! We got out immediately! No sense at all and the parents did not understand why I said that the hot tub is to hot for an infant! Need to monitor this for sure even had unruly kids in hot tub in the over 18 area.

See all the shows and make your reservations for dining once onboard. Also avoid Wonderland
