Review summary

This was a great cruise. The weather on the first 2 days left a little to be desired, rain and windy. However so much to do on the ship that it was never a problem. The layout and ease of getting around is great. We love Oasis class ships and have been spoiled having our last 3 cruises on them. We will definitely be cruising Royal Caribbean again and again. Just love it! Highly recommend any of the Oasis class ships.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Minimal time spent at security and check in. We had 20 of us and we all had our own line, by family, and were through in less than 10 minutes total.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We love the Oasis class ships, we've been on Harmony twice and now the Symphony. We had 2 days of rain at the beginning of our trip and never had to worry about finding something to do. So much on the schedule each day to do.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Everyday there was something scheduled, my only reason for a 4 star and not 5 is due to the size of some of the venues. We did trivia at the Schooner bar and had to sit on the floor, there was no room. Same as the On Air venue for Karaoke, just no where to sit. The venue was not big enough.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We did Hairspray, Ice Skating shows and Hiro(Dive show) and loved all of them. In order our favorites were iSkate, Hiro, Skate 1977 and Hiro(2nd show water stage did not lower). I recommend all of them.

On Air Club

3 out of 5

Great venue for Karaoke, my only complaint is that it is not large enough. Every night it is standing room only and we've experienced the same crowds when sailing on other Oasis class ships.

Children's Programs

No young children on board

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had 20 and we all sat in the MDR each night as a group. We had the same waiter group for 7/8 nights on board. By the end of the trip, they knew what we liked, what drinks we wanted, etc. Such a great time. Our cabin steward was great, attended to any questions or items we needed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love Oasis class ships and this was no exception. The Promenade is our favorite. Easy to get around and so open. Never saw any trash laying around.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Inside cabin and we love them. Dark at night. We only sleep, get dressed and use the restroom in there. Great location on deck 8.

Ship tip

The craziness on embarkation day is not what you experience once sailing. Also, do not go to lunch or breakfast at peek times, it will be crowded and you may not get a seat. We found 8am in Solarium Bistro was the best time, not too crowded and a plenty of seating. Trying to each lunch/breakfast just before close will be hard to find seating.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Great Port location. Close to the airport and plenty of hotels

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Our first time there and we loved it. Spent the day at Eagle beach. A little crowded and did not get a chair, but so beautiful. Taxi ride was 20 and we had 5 of us

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Another first time, we loved it as well. We were tired from the day in Aruba so only did a walk around and shopping, did not visit the beach. Would love to go back and get some beach time!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Port Changed due to weather/rain, went to Nassau instead

Disembarkation

Besides knowing your vacation is over, the tags you put on your suitcase are flimsy and come off, which lead us to losing one of our pieces of luggage. It was found in a completely different "zone" with no tag on it.
