I love this class of ship. I have been on the Oasis, Allure, and now the Symphony . It holds something like 6600 passengers and 3000 crew members but even when sold out it does not seem crowded. Highly recommended for the best entertainment venues on the high seas.
Embarkation

All check in is online now. Assigned times really make a smooth check in
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food used to be better prior to the medical stuff. Maybe they had to cut down on expenses overall and use cheaper food. Love the Indian food selections though
Room Service
1 out of 5
Too many people ordering late at night so it takes 1 1/2 hours to get your order. The ordering on you room tv is cool but the wait time is beyond ridiculous
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We used the fitness center and jogging trail on the 5th deck. A little windy in portions but in the shade and quiet
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best part of the cruise on this ship is the top flight entertainment. You can make reservations for all the shows on the ship so you are assured a seat for at least one performance. The Aqua Show is a must see as well as the Fire and Ice show on the skating rink.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
My kids have always love RCL kids camp because they could win Inky(s) (The smaller version of the stuffed blue octopus. We proudly have about 8 Inkys
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Too many new sanitary rules and grumpy enforcers of said rules.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Usually someone is endlessly cleaning the handrails and pool side bathrooms. Not so much any more.
Cabin / Stateroom

Always fine balcony rooms. We took a Boardwalk balcony room on this cruise and watched the Aqua Show from our balcony a few nights. It is interesting to people watch from your balcony above the board walk. Well soundproofed slider
Ship tip
Be prepared to have a fun packed advernture. It will take you 4 or 5 days just to discover how to get around the ship.. it is huge but does not feel crowded.
A little sad, a 60 year old woman died snorkling while we stopped at Coco Cay. The ship returned to Miami that evening to drop off the body and her relatives which I thought was kind of the cruise line to do. I must say the staff response time to the emergency was slow and kaotic. Even though the lifeguards had jet skis, no one went to assist until a woman screamed. They did not begin CPR until about 10 minutes after the woman had been pulled out. Maybe they knew she had passed already. Nice place until this happened.
Unfortunately, Carnival leases the best resort on this island. RCL and other cruisers must take a nauseating hilly, windy mini bus trip to the other, not so nice, side of the island. It's ok but no comparison with the Carnival resort.
Love this stop. We go to the Xcaret ecological park and float down the underground river twice followed by a yummy lunch and a drink in a coconut fashioned to look like a monkey!
