Symphony of the Seas is a wonderful ship with a great Captai and most of the crew. There remain significant opportunities for improvement!
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Well coordinated embarkation, with exception of traffic flows in front of Royal Caribbean building. Much improvement needed to improve traffic flows!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
150 Central Park and Chops were outstanding. Hooked 2 lb Lobster was overdone not cracked enough by chef and the shell crackers provided at the table were nut crackers and ineffective. Taste of Royal was superb and is highly recommended.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pools and whirlpools were wonderful and not overcrowded. Slides were great!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Best we have experienced on our multiple cruises. Hiro, Hairspray, 1977, second ice show, Flight were all best of class!
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Yatin and Rashem and Carlos in Main Dining were outstanding! Roel too great care for our room. Three towel animals for cruise was the least we have experienced. Please consider one per evening. Debarkation failures are the reason for a 4 instead of a 5 rating.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Well done!
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Perfect. We will always get a Junior Suite for future cruises. Shower was too small with limited spray requiring almost being pressed against shower walls.
Ship tip
Avoid popcorn at theater $2.50 for a sample sized bag. Be ready for a small shower!
Yuri, Zachary, Jake and Ewa had us snaking through over a quarter mile of distance through the dining room then the deck near the lifeboats then all the way back through the dining room and to the debarkation ramp. Poorly managed! I would have given this cruise a 10 rating, but this process alone eroded the score to a 7. People not scheduled to leave the shop until a later time, we’re permitted to leave whenever they wished contesting the process.
