Review summary

I made the mistake of ordering the 100 pic package before sailing. Only 44 pictures were taken as there were very few photogs available to catch those special moments. When you did find one, they would take your pic and then try to sell you on going to their studio. After getting back home and settling in, found out 6 of our 13 group members contracted the Covid Virus. Boosted or not - mask wearing should be done according to your personal choice. Can you afford to become sick after being on a boat with 3500 other people?

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Only ate here one time and that time was busy. So many people trying to get the same thing accomplished

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The Abyss was cool yet after getting from point A to point B - it was cumbersome trying to get back up to point A again. Elevators were way to full and overcrowded.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Water show was canceled many times and when they were able to get a run going, the crowd was overwhelming. Best spot was on upper deck next to Loco Fresh.

Children's Programs

No Kids

Service and Staff

Personal care was not directed at our needs.

Ship Quality

With 12 elevators used for the whole ship, there were way to many people trying to get somewhere at the same time. With a wife in a scooter, that limited the ability to use these elevators drastically without getting in someone's way or having enough room to go into one. Just going up or down one deck became a nightmare having to wait 20-30 minutes for an elevator that would not be so full she could go into it with her scooter. Made the mistake of going through the casino thinking we could go through to the promenade. When my wife bumped a chair being used by someone loosing their money, it was almost showtime for us right there. Luckily we were the better people.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was the highlight of this trip. Very spacious and clean.

Ship tip

If you have a disabled person using a scooter traveling with you, be prepared to wait a long time to catch an elevator to go up one floor or down one floor.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan at night is nice but would have been better to be able to see what we were getting into before it got dark. Only port I have ever been to where we got there at 4:30 pm and had to go 5 hours later. Its dark and on an island that was just ravished by a hurricane, it made no sense at all.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Did the Plane Spotting and this would prove to be one of the highlights of this whole trip.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Our driver was not helpful at all. Explained nothing to use while in her van. We almost got taken out by a dumptruck going up the mountain and when we finally reached our goal, gave us just 25 minutes to look around, shop and get a drink before we had to get back onto the cramped van. No fun at all.
