Review summary

The excursions in Roatan and Cozumel were disappointing. The snorkeling in Roatan was in rough seas and against the current with basic orange life vest not snorkeling vests as advertised. The 4-wheeler in Cozumel took us to cenote that we could not swim in like what is advertised. The Mayan ruins in Costa Maya were amazing and had the best transportation. Cozumel: school bus (no a/c), Roatan: a run down shuttle for 20 people, Costa Maya: 12 person van.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
I was stunned by how quickly we were processed. From the time we parked our car to the time we stepped aboard was less than an hour and maybe 20 min were of sitting and waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was not as plentiful as I remember before 2020. I remember having food available 24/7. This time even the buffet had specific hours. Also, the specialty dining and alcoholic drinks were overpriced. The prices changed from day to day. There was 18% added to any receipt you signed, and you are still charged a daily gratuity. I felt nickeled and dimed.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We hung out in the solarium which was very nice and quiet. The spa was a disappointment.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Hiro was amazing. Dan Marks in the Schooner Bar was fabulous. We spent every evening there.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Edgar and Aldo in the main dining room were very accommodating. The staff at Izumi were great. Our room steward was efficient and timely

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
With the exception of a few bathrooms the common areas were clean and inviting. Even the casino. The ship itself was amazing in size and the amount of offerings.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was always clean. The balcony was a nice addition. The two of us didn't feel crowded at all.
