Service and Staff

SO FRIENDLY!!! While we received very good service from the Carnival staff on previous cruises, those on Royal Caribbean were absolutely fantastic. Everyone seemed to really enjoy working on the Symphony of the Seas.

We did the Chichen Itza tour. We were very disappointed in this excursion, especially considering the cost for 3 people. First, we set off on a 30 minute ferry ride on a ferry that seemed very old. Upon arrival to the mainland, we were ushered approximately 1 mile through town to our bus depot. It was then a 2 hour ride to Chichen Itza on a bus that had literally no leg room. The description of the excursion stated that we would receive a tablet at the site that would make Chichen Itza "come alive." This was not at all what we experienced. Instead of viewing a tablet that would make Chichen Itza "come alive", we were given tablets on the bus that told a little about Chichen Itza, which amounted to little more than a simple Powerpoint presentation that we could only view ON THE BUS TRIP. During our excursion, our guide QUICKLY escorted around the site and kept telling us to hurry along...BOMANOS! Unfortunately, we were not able to spend time exploring the site even for 30 minutes before we had to get back on the bus for our 2 hour ride and 30 minute ferry. We were back in Cozumel with 1-1/2 hours prior to boarding. l would NEVER recommend this excursion!!
