We are Royal Caribbean loyalists so I have hardly ever had a negative experience. This cruise was no exception. The ship was huge but once the ship is on its way I didn’t notice the around 9,000 people onboard this floating city. I would sail on an Oasis Class ship again but I prefer some of the less gigantic size classes better.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We got to the Port early and breezed right through the process. We didn’t really need to use the Diamond/Diamond Plus line. Royal Caribbean continues to make the boarding process easier and faster.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Even tough we prefer the other classes of ship over the Oasis Class, this is an amazing ship. Our dining experiences were consistently great as with our other RC cruises. Service and food excellent.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I did the zip line and the Abyss before our ship left Miami. There were no lines. We pretty much relaxed the rest of the cruise. The Next Cruise desk was best visited before we departed as well. Booked our next cruise to Asia.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment was fantastic with the exception of the adult comedy. This was the first time at the adult comedy show that made me want to walk out. The guy was not nearly as funny as he thought.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As always the service we experienced with the service and staff was exceptional.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Clean, clean, clean! This is a huge ship, so it is difficult to experience the entire ship during a 7 day cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our stateroom was super. Our attendant went above and beyond And kept our room very clean. The room was good sized and the balcony was very nice.
Ship tip
If you want to explore this ship I recommend you start while still in port. If you want to try the zip line and Abyss try it in port before you sail. Everyone else will probably be in the Windjammer.
We didn’t take an excursion. We had just planned on walking around but there isn’t anything much to see at the port. We hired one of the locals, a licensed husband and wife team, to take us around to some of the best places. They were great and the time of the tour was up to us. We made sure we were back with a lot of time to spare.
Walked around the port then took the inexpensive shuttle to downtown and then a taxi back to the port. It was $5 per person each way. That was a great deal.
Ver easy process. We were staying in Miami Beach for 5 days after the cruise so no rush leaving the ship. The only issue was outside the terminal was extremely crowded and that made it difficult to spot our Ride.
Thanks for sharing! I'm going on Symphony this fall and will remain open minded because I too prefer (so far) the smaller ships. I may adjust my schedule to do the Abyss & zipline on the first day as well, thanks to your suggestion 😊
I agree with you 100% I’ve been on all oasis class ships and never have I ever been waiting in line for things or felt crowded keep on cruising I love the cruise
