Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Entrees were good some better than others. Be aware however, you will get hit with an 18% gratuity per person per night if you eat in main dining. It adds up!! Plus at the end everyone is hit up again to tip out the head waiter and other wait staff.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Dance club music fairly dated. I assume this was due to 18+ age groups going to clubs. Our cruise was during January which is winter break for a lot of Latin countries. Therefore we had a lot of kids on our ship.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Restaurant, housekeeping, cafe staff very pleasant. Poolside bartenders not as friendly.

Ship Quality

Symphony of the Seas is an Unbelievable ship! Floating hotel. Very clean.

Don’t waste your time on snorkeling. So sad to see the reef so dead. There were no fish to see and the coral was grey. Lunch in the catamaran was yucky. No beer or wine offered just some rum punch.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
Not much to do. Forget the horrible zip lining trip. They had We stopped at the same time as 4 other ships way over crowded at the little made up visitors area. Didn’t get to see the town at all.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
They had 4 lines set up on old rusty poles. Horrible value and definitely not worth your time or money. Overly crowded with 6 ships docked. Totally over dived. So sad to see this beautiful little island getting destroyed by all the tourism.

Nassau, Bahamas

Not much to do if you don’t spend the $200 per person to go to the Atlantis water park.

I’m with Mimic not sure what you are talking about with the 18% tip in the dining room as that is not true

January is winter break for Latin countries. So lots of kids? What?

I spent 74 $ to spend the day at Atlantis. Not 200$. U can pick and choose what u want to do. Also I don’t know what u mean by hit u up at the end for more tips for servers in main dining room.

I don’t know what u are talking about with the 18% tip added everynite in main dining room. That is free. No extra tips added.

sounds like this was your first cruise cause gratuity is on all cruise ship

Karie you are so right

When you eat in a restaurant in the U.S we normally tip right? So why is this different. I took this ship last year to Barcelona and enjoyed myself.

The main dining room is free, why were you hit up to pay 18%? Everyone has to pay gratuity at the end of the trip, it has nothing to do with eating in the dining room
