Review summary

We had a wonderful time. The only bummer was the time we docked at Victoria. It would have been great to have a complementary shuttle to take you into town. We got there late , almost dark and left at midnight. It was not a lit walking path and the path was uneven. If they want your money in the town, they should find a way to get you there. Eat at Tracy’s ! So yum Yum! The best meal on the trip! The best meal on the ship was a pasta ravioli dish I had one night. Love the desserts!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The desserts were nice. The wait staff was wonderful. We had anytime dining and it was perfect for this trip because of the odd times you are at your ports. The fruit was always wonderful. The main course options were not that great every night, but I always found something and they will make changes for you if you ask. I was on another ship that had a huge buffet so this one seemed small with less choices.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Exercise room, only one restroom ( one out of order) for the area which included the spa treatment area. Great equipment with a wonderful view. I saw dolphins swimming by the boat while exercising.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We were on a music cruise so we had entertainment with us that was wonderful. I did see the British Invasion it was great, Born to Dance was great I’m sure just not my thing. We went to the Disco one night and danced to a mix of tunes. Saw Noodles the Comedy show. It’s hard to fit things in on this cruise dinner takes 2 hours, and you have to get up early for your excursions.

Children's Programs

No kids with us. I did see places for them to go and play.

Service and Staff

Always wonderful and helpful. Hard to get info on excursions at the end of the cruise it seems to not be open.

Ship Quality

We did use the stairs for nearly everything, If you wanted to get to anything on time. The elevator was always in use somewhere else and took way too long. We didn’t mind the cardio, you can eat dessert lol. There was a stink in this one area by the piano bar near a restroom for a few days.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great size. We had a mini suite with a balcony. So much room, the bed was great and we wanted to stuff the pillows inn our luggage and bring them home with us. The bathroom door is right by the closet so you have to give the person in there a tap to let them know you are there or you will get nailed with the door if they come out. It has 2 big TVs and couch area. Every morning we had crafts of coffee delivered and enjoyed the view.

Ship tip

Get the anytime dining and ask for Michelle, get the mini suite .

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

No excursions, the city was great. Good place to walk and do it all by foot if you can. Expensive to fly, transportation to hotel, transportation to port, then transportation to Airport.

Yes, and yes we did E-Bike tour. It was very nice and the weather was wonderful! Just the 2 of us. I expected more from the description of it as far as the length of the bike ride and hike but it was beautiful and the guide was great and very knowledgeable about the rain forest.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska Did not visit port

We did not do the excursions there.

Whale watching and crab feast. The whale watching was not so good cause of the weather. It was pouring down rain and the water was ver rough. We did see whales, but the viewing was hard on the boat with the fog on the window, people standing trying to get a photo when they pop up. Windows were opened and it helped but we got drenched. I think if the boat had been bigger, or had a place to stand outside to see it would have been better. The crab at Tracy’s was amazing!

Went and did the animal planet Animal Reserve in Hayde. Loved it. Kissed a moose, saw a bear eat a pie, a wolf, lynx, mink, porcupine and some other animals. Very personal and fun!

Victoria, British Columbia

I though this stop was stupid because of the time we did it. It is a lovely place but get there at 7 PM and leave at midnight. It was almost dark and have to walk 30 min to the city to shop. The path was dark with an uneven path. It was great exercise, but so glad that we didn’t take our mother with us. There is a shuttle for 15$. These things should be part of the cruise. But during the day would have been better.

Easy, bags out the night before. They will take them all the way to the Airport for you and you won’t see them until you are home!
