My daughter turned 13 a couple weeks after we went on the cruise. Unfortunately, the staff wouldn't let her join her two older cousins in the teen room. Instead she would have had to be by herself in the youth room. Therefore, she didn't participate. They are very strict on the age limits. I think there needs to be a bit more flexibility. The staff was very rude when explaining the age "rules".

Mary Anne was wonderful! She was so nice and professional. Our cabin was always clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Ship tip
If you are prone to motion sickness (like me), get to the top deck out in the open, fresh air as soon as possible. I spent the first full day at sea getting sick all day. However, once I got out of my room and into fresh air, it helped. I even took Dramamine and had two prescription patches on behind my ears. After that first day, I was fine.
